I didn’t get around to posting this yesterday.
Our original plan for the morning was to go visit Euphoria at Le Grand Palais. However, Poppy was in a mood and by the time we were ready to head out, it was getting later than we hoped and the vibe didn’t seem right for a trip into the city center. So we pivoted to staying in the neighbourhood. We did some shopping, hit up the playground again (riding the carousel this time!) and visited the local farmer’s market. That’s the beauty of spending two weeks here, we can just visit Euphoria another day.
We all dusted off a pint of the most delicious strawberries and then after nap decided to take the bus over to Montmartre.
We rode the funicular up which was great for Poppy. Had some ice cream, found another local playground and then walked over to Pink Mamma for 6pm without a reservation. We got a great table and had a very yummy dinner. Poppy had some red sauce pasta, Jill and I split a steak and some fish carpaccio.
On our walk back home we made another playground stop for Poppy. Finding those playgrounds and letting her run around for a bit wherever we are has really been working out well for us. Keeping everyone happy!
Overall, I’ve been getting by relatively well with my limited French. I’d say it’s about 50/50: half the time my conversations are all in French and the other half, folks have pity on me and switch to English. Either way, everyone’s been very pleasant.
